Deep Groove Ball Bearings are the most common bearing type found in a wide variety of applications. Versatile and robust they are available in a wide range of sizes and options including seals, shields and special clearance for high speed applications. The main types are:

  • Open - Bearing without seals or shields, suitable for applications where lubricant will constantly flow through them i.e. gearboxes.
  • Metal Shields - Bearings fitted with steel shields and lubricated for life.
  • Rubber Seals - Bearings fitted with steel reinforced rubber contact seals which provide a better seal but add friction so are unsuitable for high speed applications, lubricated for life.

I needed 2 very small bearings and made a telephone enquiry and the phone was answered by someone whose name I think was Sean/Shaun?.top service ensued from there.i was unsure of sizing and code.the guy googled my garble and then cross referred to their numbers.sent me the correct bearings 1st time.in today's parlance "what's not to like"indeed perhaps they could start a sideline in teaching customer contact protocols at colleges.finally, I don't do feedback.i abhor companies constantly wanting/needing validation,in this case it's fully deserved(my purchases came to less than a tenner incl postage).

İ always buy bearings for my wheelchairs and my disabled sports equipment from Wych bearings.
