High Quality NMB Spherical Bearings manufactured from heat treated stainless steel with a teflon fabric liner suitable for Motorsport Applications.

Race: Heat Treated Stainless Steel, CRES 410
Ball: Heat Treated Stainless Steel, CRES 440C
Liner: Teflon/Fabric bonded to race I.D.

Salty air and sea spray are not the best bedfellows for steel, so on the boat it has to be stainless steel (preferably marine grade) brass or bronze fo bearing surfaces.
Unless you sail and understand furling mechanisms there is no point going into detail. Suffice to say I have replaced plain (brass) bearings with the plain, spherical bearings which now allow a slightly bent stainless steel rod to rotate in its mountings, nice and freely. Fingers crossed the stainless steel in these bearings will cope with salty air and sea spray, though they have been liberally coated in copper grease.
