Self Aligning Ball Bearings are available in metric and imperial sizes. The bearing has two rows of balls and a common sphered outer raceway allowing the bearing to be self aligning relative to the housing. this design allows for shaft misalignment and deflection.
This was for a replacement rear bearing off a tool post grinder motor. Unusual choice but the new one matched the original perfectly and works a treat.
